Idea 1: Animation Webpage
A webpage explaning the effects that animating can have on animators, and what problems these can cause for the animator.
Idea 2: R.A.B.B.I.T
A webpage explaining the increasing number of abandonned and injured rabbits in the UK.
An animation showing some of the rabbits and what happened to them could be made.
Adoption and sponser pages could be included.
Idea 3: Animal Cruelty
A webpage explaining the increasing number of animals crueliy treated all over the world.
Animations could show this.
Chosen idea
R.A.B.B.I.T
I choose this webpage over the other two as there are loads of website dedicated to animal creulty and also there are no webpages on the effects of animation. I could not find anything out about illness etc. And all the things I did find would only produce around two and a half pages on my webpage.
About R.A.B.B.I.T:
Who does the charity help/inform us about?
The charity informs us about the ever increasing amount of homeless and injured rabbnits in the world around us.
The charity provides a safe haven for abbandonned/injured rabbits so that they can live out the rest of their lives knowing that they are safe.
Who is your target audience?
My target audience is anyone interested or who likes rabbits. Anyone from the age of 12 as there will be a lot of information to read and anyone below this age may find it boring.
The colouring of the website will not be too colourful and also not too dull. I will use eye-catching colours that will draw the viewers to the page.
Images of the rabbits will be displayed on one side of the page and will changes every now and then to show a different rabbit, hopefully brightening up the page.
What does the webpage have to communicate?
- Increasing numbers of rabbits being abandoned or injured
- what the charity is curreently doing
- what the charity hopes to achieve
- what the charity has to offer
What will the personality of the website be?
- Formal
- Subtle colours
- Easy to navigate nav bar
- Interesting layout
- Shop page
- Adoption page
- Donation page
Researching existing webpages:
Here I have researched and analysed four webpages dedicated to the welfare of rabbits. I have looked at how each website is layed out and what they have incommon, like donation pages and sponer pages.
These are:
Giant Rabbit Rescue
RWAF
Hare Preservation Trust
The Rabbit Residence Rescue
Logo research and design
Before I started to design my logo for the webpage I looked at the existing ones on the websites I had already researched. These were The Hare Preservation logo and the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund logo. I noticed that both logos were very simple and had plain colours. There are no fill colours, making the majority of the logos white.
There are two colours in each logo, both go together. The orange goes with the purple and the green goes with the brown. Both stand out and are eye-catcjing. They are not big and bulcky and sit in one corner of the webpage on whih they are on.
Logo Designs
Taking into account the above I designed these logos:
I did a survey to see which logo was the most popular. The results showed that design three was the design most choosen by the people that I asked.
Creating the final logo
Webpage Designs
Here are the designs for some of the pages in the final website. The designs are with their coloured counterparts.
The designs also show where the logo will be placed.
